Claire Thodesen
Chartered Physiotherapist
Claire graduated from the University of the West of England in Bristol in 2006 and went on to work at Bath Royal United Hospital for 7 years where she specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She also worked for a rugby team in her spare time gaining vital skills in acute injury management and sports rehabilitation.
Her passion for travel drew her overseas in 2013 where she lived and worked in Singapore for two years. Claire took on the role of team lead physiotherapist in a private clinic within a large hospital, where she further developed her clinical skills and expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She enjoyed treating patients from a diverse range of nationalities and backgrounds. She balanced work with play and had fun travelling to some amazing places.
She returned to the UK in 2015 and lived in London for two years, working for one of central London’s leading private physiotherapy clinics. She also became a Pilates instructor during this time and enjoys teaching classes and one to one sessions.
Claire was very happy to return to her beloved home town of Bristol in 2017. She is pleased to be a part of the excellent team at The Cherington Practice, upholding its high standards of care.
She enjoys treating musculoskeletal problems in adults from all walks of life, from sports injuries to arthritic aches and pains, utilising manual therapy, exercise programmes, Pilates based rehabilitation, acupuncture and taping to achieve the desired results.
